Long 30-second shots with Wan 3.0

Most AI video stops at 5–10 seconds. Wan 3.0 runs text and first-frame clips up to 30 seconds in one pass, with a deep-thinking step that parses layered prompts first. Long shots need a different kind of prompt.

Plan a long shot

In short

  • Text-to-video and image-to-video offer 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds.
  • Deep thinking is enabled for every request here.
  • Describe one continuous shot with beats in order.
  • Test camera direction at 480p before rendering 30 seconds at 1080p.

Write beats, not a list

A 30-second shot has room for two or three beats. Write them in order inside one continuous description.

Example · three beats
Product film: a ceramic cup on an oak table. The camera begins a slow orbit as steam rises; halfway round, a hand enters and pours coffee; the orbit ends on the cup in warm window light. Warm kitchen ambience with a soft pour.

Choose resolution by stage

Use 480p to test camera direction cheaply, 720p for most social and web deliverables, and 1080p when the clip is final. Credits scale with resolution and duration.

Avoiding drift in long clips

  • Lock the start with a first frame when the look must stay exact.
  • Add a last frame to define where the shot ends.
  • Keep one location; long clips that change setting tend to wander.
